REPRESENTATIVE CASES
- Currently represents a Colorado community bank where the bank seeks the return of more than $1 Million stolen from it by a former officer who used the funds in a separate business. Due to his extensive experience with these types of matters, Mr. Rodriguez has formulated an ingenious litigation strategy to secure the return of the funds stolen from bank through equitable means.
- Represented a large real estate developer in the purchase of a $16 Million shopping center in the midst of a complex foreclosure proceeding which had been contentiously litigated for five years between the bank holding the note and mortgage on the shopping center and its owners. Mr. Rodriguez was able to complete the foreclosure of the shopping center within 6 months after his client purchased the note.
- Represented a community health center in the trial of a medical malpractice case which was televised nationally on Court TV.
- Represented the American affiliate of a French multi-national in connection with the tender offer for a 25 year operating contract on an oil field in Guatemala. This representation included the tender offer process, the negotiation of the operating contract, and managing subsequent litigation with the Ministry of Energy and Mines of the Republic of Guatemala, after it breached the terms of the tender.
BACKGROUND
Background Mr. Rodriguez has served as a National Vice-President and Member of the Executive Committee of the Hispanic National Bar Association. He served as a moderator of that organization’s Election Forum, televised live nationally in the United States on the C-Span Network. He was also a founder and President of Puente de Jovenes, a group of young professionals committed to supporting political dissident youths in Cuba. Javier served as host of Puente’s Spanish language radio show on WQBA 1140 AM in Miami. Mr. Rodriguez is currently the Florida Chairman of the Republican National Lawyers Association. He has worked in many Republican Campaigns over the years, and has served in the front lines of Election Day operations.
